The AMLAN— portable toilet kit for people with disabilities The AMLAN is a portable toilet kit for people with disabilities or that are in temporary need of specialized equipment due to injury. It was developed by Milbat, the Israeli Center for Technology and Accessibility, with the assistance of JDC and other partners. The kit was planned and designed for use in homes, hotels, outdoors and even in the homes of friends and relatives whose toilets are not handicapped-accessible. The uniqueness of AMLAN is its design. The kit includes: screen walls to ensure privacy of the user, commode, kit for absorbing urine and feces, a button for summoning assistance, cleaning supplies, a bag for all of the components and a user manual. The AMLAN is modular, easy to assemble and carry and possible to use after only short instruction.
